The PIAA HB3 9005 Style Xtreme White Plus Bulb gives acute white light at a 4000K ranking to illuminate road hazards and street signs long before normal halogen bulbs, with a slight blue topcoat tint for improved curb attraction. Made to SAE suggested plans and DOT compliant, this 60=120 watt halogen bulb gives 120 watts of light for just 60 watts of power and is made with a high quality, heat resistant tube. It’s sold in a twin pack.

(REAL NAME) The light output difference between the virtually clear, 60W PIAA bulbs and the lightly blue tinted, 65W Solaris bulbs is, if any, too small to compute without instrumentation. What evident differences exists between these two equally costly brands of high beam bulbs (9006 is the designation used to recognize your low beam bulbs) are twofold, that being, 1st of all, their kelvin temperatures, (which has nothing at all to do with heat, but everything to do with the color of their light outputs) 4000K for the PIAA bulbs and 4300K for the Solaris bulbs, making the Solaris bulbs the whiter of the two. The 9006 HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights that come standard or as an choice on most of today’s new cars range between 4000K and 4300K, so you will have to find out for yourselves which of these two brands gives the best high beam kelvin match for your car’s low beam HID system. The second difference is the fact that the Solaris bulbs project their light at a little higher angle than do the PIAA bulbs, if you are driving a small Honda Accord, for example, they are the bulbs for you. If you are driving a bigger car, say a Lexus ES300, you will be better off with the PIAA bulbs. Unlike many other 9005 bulbs on the market today that have much higher current draws which can damage your wiring and headlamps, heavy blue tints that consequently produce far less light output than that supplied by the better intended PIAA and Solaris bulbs, neither one of these two bulbs should cause you a problem by virtue of the heat they produce if your car’s headlamps were first intended for use with halogen bulbs. While admittedly costly these high performance bulbs will considerably improve the high beam performance of any car equipped with standard, halogen bulbs. If you happen to be on a tight budget then you can not go wrong with the 9005, 65W, 4000K Silverstar bulbs from Sylvania. Happy and safe night driving to you one and all.

Come winter, I just disconnect the battery and leave it in the WaveRunner and it’s prepared to go in the spring; the cold doesn’t annoy it at all.

It has proven dependable and is quite powerful for its comparatively small size and weight. I use an Odyssey charger to keep the battery exceeded off when not charged by the engine alternator. Since it’s a dry type battery there’s no acid spillage to contend with.

I was to get a random misfire code on my Expedition while is was under a load (higher RPM’s). I chased this by replacing spark plugs, fuel filter, fuel injection cleaning etc. While all of this was most likely useful it didnt correct my problem. I have about 95,000 miles and a mechanic friend told me “it’s most likely not the coil packs cause they rarely go bad.” Well he was wrong. I bought these because I could not pass up the price and I has been tired of chasing my rear. Replaced all eight and it works like a champ. Truck runs like new without any issues. This was a tough diagnostics because it idled good and you could rev the car and it looks good. Hopefully this info will assist someone out to save the time it took me to figure it out. Be sure and use Permatex Dielectric Tune Up Grease on the ends that connect to the spark plug..

Update 05/01/11 learned my cats were clogged also. 70 in passenger side and 30 on driver side. On the Ford V8′s it’s a four cat system setup. I went to a performance shop and had them install two high flow cats (still emission friendly). Man what a difference in performance. This thing runs awesome and it changed the exhaust note…

(REAL NAME) () This review is from: ACCEL 140032 8 two Super Coil Kit (Automotive) 1999 Ford Crown Victoria, she had a misfire in cylinders five & 6, idling about. 90,000 miles. This are easy to change yourself. Take your time and do a good clean job. They look great under the hood. I love the sticker on each coil that says “Lethal Voltage!” Fired her up and it was smooth and calm again. And it pulls harder above 4,000 rpms (bonus!) Price was right also.
